Watch Jamal Walton Breaks Usain Bolt's U17 400m Record At CARIFTA Apr 21, 2014

Jamal Walton was the MVP of last year's FLYRA/flrunners.com Middle School State Championship. An eighth grader on the Miami Gardens Xpress Track team, Walton came away with gold medals in the 100,200 and 400. As a fifteen year old he is making an even bigger splash. Running unattached against a college field at the University of Miami Invitational, he finished second in 47.73 in the quarter mile and concluded the day with a personal best 21.52 to finish ninth.
